Hi all... used to love this little app... made my life really easy! But my 360 broke down and was replaced by MS. Now the new one can't connect. Connect 360 sees the Xbox 360, but the 360 can't find my computer.

Firewall is off, so I don't think that's the problem. Does anyone have any ideas at all?!

Thank you,
Aidan

ya, no crap!  i hate this media connect thing.  and even more after my little ordeal today.  i was adding five cds to my mp3 library a few hours ago.  i had no problem with the files until i moved them in the folder where all my music is.  i was using the godfather (as always) to do some batch edits on my new files and i kept getting random errors about the files being locked or used by another app.  i'd run the batch update again not two seconds later and it'd be three or four different files.  this would just go on and on.  i messed with it for about ten minutes... reboot, messed w/ my shares, checked my process manager, virus scan, spyware scan, and then finally it dawned on me.  i bet it's the windows media connect service.  i stopped the service, hit the batch update button in the god father.  zipped right through.  that damn thing!  waste of time.  i'm afraid if an app came out like this for the pc it would require .NET installed... and i refuse .NET, so i'd be back to square one anyway.  heh.

Check your access control list settings if you have it set for a specific ip address then it wont let the 360 connect. you can turn it off really no worries about it. I had the same problem till i realized that I had set it like that.

And I agree that this app is incredibly easy to setup and use I love it.

I just want to be able to lisen to Internet Radio with my 360.  I hope microsft maybe just adds native support into it like how you can choose source and just choose genre and it would browse like MSN or shoutcast.  Or you could manually add the URL of the cast and bookmark it.

Stupid Question, does anyone know if I can FTP into my 360 like I could with my XBOX? If so, are the login names and password the same?

Thanks,
J

connect 360 isn't in any way a mod, or a program that allows you to access your 360 it merely shares your itunes library and iphoto pictures with your 360. Ftp access probably wont come until there is a modchip for the 360.
