Thanks to all the people working hard on these programs. They make buying a 360 a lot more worth while. I've been really interested in these video encoder programs. I like the idea of the 360 being an all around media center like my current xbox.

I am just pissed because all this new stuff only works with Windows Media Center. Kinda stupid that it does not work with Windows XP.

I can't get it to work either, getting the same error. I ahve been emailing gary (Creator) but not been able to resolve the issue yet

I hate when people keep complaining about MCE and XP, because they have XP and they won't upgrade to MCE.. Why do you even waste a post.. go buy or download MCE2005 and install it

Same issue here (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I find vlc gives me choppy playback and kills the cpu in my pc

Kernal, just to play xvids on a 360 doesn't really justify the expense of buying a new O/S or in reality a new PC as you cannot buy MCE

I believe it is only shipped as OEM with new PC's.

I can empathise with the complaints levelled at XP and xvid playback, but all needs is a live update from Microcash to allow us all to play xvids/divx

just got an email from one of the devs, nice guy as it goes, seems there is a small bug in the code in that makes it try to connect on port 8080 all the time.. fingers crossed it wont take long to sort..

You don't need to buy a new PC, you can buy MCE O/S separate or download the thing. Most fo you are so quick in wanting a Mod Chip for illegal games, well go dowload the O/S .. M$ never promised extender capabilities via XP, so why complain over something you new (before buying the product) was not supported. And if you didn't know, then you should read before you buy

I am just getting sick of all these posts about XP not streaming video

PS   Gary just emailed me and he has updated the software to fix the E3 error (no loger get this error)

I don't want a modchip for games.

I will want one for XMBC.

The 360 implementation of sharing pix, music etc is gash.

In my pix, i see all my album covers too.  I prefer the whole setup a particular folder/share approach of XBMC.

I hope this carries thru to the 360 version if/when it gets developed.

Thinking about upgrading my server to MCE to try this out.

How well does it run? (play back, etc.)
Would like to know before spending a day switching over my server  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thanks
