I don't know about the VMWare problem, but I'll suggest you erase the last line of that post sleep.gif  dry.gif

It's probably a CSS problem. Be sure you have gold.css and autonav.js in your NES folder. If they're there, check just before your first rom button if you see this line:
CODE

Roms selector
by BoomDivX
The first line sets all the color in the page.

Well, the files are there and that line is there.

...
D'oh!  I found out what it was.  I originally edited the AutoNav file with FrontPage on another PC and it must have automatically changed the first part of the code:
CODE

because it had the path set to H: (which was the letter of the drive I had mapped to that folder) instead of C:

User error. (compounded by FrontPage's misguided attempt to help me out by changing something I didn't ask it to change)  Sorry about that.  biggrin.gif

Full Updated Version: http://www.yourfilel...t.php?fid=63809

Note: you do not need the previous version.  This is complete.

CHANGES:
Created "Refresh Game List" Menu Item that runs a VBS file and will automaticlly create the list based off of what's in the ROMs directory.  Once you run that function from the web page you will need to refresh it by going back and re-launching the page.  You must arrow over and click open on both dialogs or this will not function.  Once that runs, refresh the page and all the roms you have in /nes/roms/ will display and launch.

Added Select item --> Launch functions:  You can now just select the rom you want to play and hit "A".  This will load the selected rom into the emulator.  If it doesn't load, just hit "A" again and it should.  You can hit "B" while playing a game and it will take you back to the Game loader.

Changed NES Loader file:  Added Credits to main MCL file to keep rom loader and applet page clean.

NOTE: This is not needed anymore but If you still want to edit the files manually,  the only changes that are required now are:
<tr><td>
    <span id="XXXXXXXXXXXXXX" class="btnAutoNav_nofocus" style="position:relative;" onfocus="setItemFocus(this);" onblur="clearItemFocus(this);" onclick="var tmpval = getCookie('NES_ROM'); setCookie('NES_ROM', 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXX'); clearItemFocus(document.getElementById(tmpval));return false">
        <div id="content3" >XXXXXXXXXXXXX</div>
    </span>
</tr></td>

Anywhere there are XXXXX needs the romname.zip.  You do not have to mess with anything else as everything else is handled based off the rom name.

Thanks to Ryan and BoomDivx for the help.

How fast is the media center machine that you are running it on?  What about network bandwidth?  These are crucial to this working correctly.  Also make sure that the audio flag in the nes_mod.htm is set to false as audio does not work and can cause slowness.

Lol I almost did the same thing, but my version is gonna be a .exe that you can run from anywhere on the computer. I just need to clean the code a little, make the interface a little more user friendly then I'll release it tonight.

I also saw a little bug in my autonav.htm, nothing serious. If there's too many roms, the screen won't scroll. I'll post the update as soon as I'm done with it

*edit: forget that, the VB script does all that tongue.gif even fixed my bug, great work X wink.gif

smile.gif yeah I think an EXE would still prompt twice to load it.  I've been testing tonight and everything seems to be working well.  The last file thing I would like to do is handle directory structures for roms, A-B, C-D, etc in the VB script...

Scrolling was kind of a pain but it works!

I tired to edit the nes_mod.htm to make the picture fit to my screen but the picture is still just a little square in the middle of my TV.  Here is the line I edited: name="nescafe" width="1920" height="1080". Is that the correct location, is there something else i need to do, or is it just not possible. The rom list is fit to my screen but when i Play the game its a small square.

Well the way my .exe is working, you can specify your Media Center folder (if you have a different language than english, it's really useful wink.gif ) then it generates the autonav.htm file with all the roms contained in the roms folder sorted in alphabetical order. So if you want to update your list, just run the .exe from anywhere on your pc, specify the folder path, click the button and tadam wink.gif And the list will stay as long as you don't run the .exe since it generates the html file each time. No need to run it each time.

If you want it, I'll modify it a little to include the modification done by Xexter to fix the scrolling problem in my first version.
