Has anyone tried comparing an arcade demo to it's full version to see what data is different?  When you already have a demo and you purchase the full version it doesn't require you to redownload the game.  It simply unlocks the demo.  If someone can determine with a hex editor or something what information is added/changed then we could create patches to unlock them, right?

with this tool or in future versions, would it be possible to replace the 20 gig sata hd with a bigger drive to use with our xbox360, now that we can read and write the drive? or is that impossible?

Something like that should work, but 2.5" sata don't come cheap, or rather, thay are twice as much as ide's because their demand is so low.

$30 USD for this one (never shoped there)

Ditto.

Makes sense to be able to if you format the HDD in the same way and transfer all of the files to each partition.

There are discussions regarding this in the technical hardrive/sata section.

You cant change the harddrive because there are signatures and checks on the serial and model number.

It may be possible some time in the future somehow

do you mean a converter cable as in a plug that can plug to the outside of the hard drive casing so its not required to take apart the 360's disk drive cabby

That'd surely be the ultimate solution.

Then maybe one could build the same kind of docking station on top of your pc that the x360 has. Just click it in and you're done biggrin.gif

So just putting a wmv wont work .
If anyone knows the creator of wxTheme tell them to release the software that allows you to combine the 2
files.

Thx, memturbo. Good to know that, but surely it's a bit disappointing too.

How did you come up with this conclusion btw? Don't the x360's WMV files copied from HDD play on the PC at all?

Have you been able to track down the backwards compatibility files yet?

Well to get to this conclusion I used wxTheme to extract the files
when extracted 2 files appear default.wmv and icon.png the icon file is a generic icon
IPB Image

So that as far as I got and yes the wmv plays fine on my pc

How does the Beta FFXI disc work?  I know you can load the whole FFXI game onto your HD...this tool that was just released may allow scene'rs to use that setup, but there may be some kind of disc authentication that would need to be verified from the ffxi disc...so you would at least need a copy of that.  What do you guys think?
