Hi, atm. i have a Xbox360 + 28" TV and a computer with windows xp proff sp2.

I am now considering if i should replace my computers xp with MCE.
Will i still be able to use my computer for daily purposes like word, firefox, thunderbird, warcraft 3 and so on!? If that is so, will i then be good with using MCE as desktop OS, or is XP proff better!? (cons/pros)

What i really want my complete system to do(xbox360+computer+tv) is to be able to pause live tv, record simpsons on my harddisk automatically everyday, and stuff like that, which normal media centre computers(that cost like 2000$) can do.

Will i be good with going from xp pro to MCE, and then be able to do what it is that i want!?

Please do research as to what MCE is.


Media Center is just XP Professional with the Media Center ADDED to it, no, it doesn't boot up straight to media center (though it can be set that way) otherwise it looks just like any Windows XP install
