Yeah, you can't "transfer" mp3's to the 360. You can stream the using Windows Media Connect, but it SUCKS (the way it manages the files). You can also stream from Media Center, I don't know how well this is since I don't have it.

What I did: External USB Hard Drive / USB Pen Drive. It lets you browse your directory structure and play folders/songs. No catalog/index.
