I sympathize with your problems. I can't help you with them and to put it plain and simple, I think MCE sucks. See my rant in this same (sub)forum.

I'm having the same MP3 problems and like yours, mine are tagged perfectly fine. A few hundred albums and it scews up one thing after another. I noticed though that after I changed the permanent internet setting to 'yes' and 'allow automatic updates' it started loading some album art. Maybe coincidence 'cos I thought that last setting was something else but it seems to me its loading way too slow and it starts at the bottom ...

If several of your video files are actually one movie, consider joining them to one big file. Unless of course your streaming HDTV and every file is already a Gig or bigger.
