Well I fixed it, by removed a file called program.exe from the root of my c drive... it works fine now.. smile.gif

Well so much for the fix.  It turns out if you delete program.exe it messes with a bunch of stuff on start up. So I guess it isn't such a bad file after all.  But what the heck can I do to make media connect work right? It is pretty funny how it is easier to hook up xbmc to the home network, than it is a 360. Leave it to MS to make it more complex than needed lol... Any ideas anyone???

Nice post about program.exe.  The problem is mine finds it, lol.. I wish it wouldn't, but then other things happen.. I can get media connect up and running but as soon as you turn sharing on it says it cant start and I get the message above from event viewer in windows.

my computer says it can find my xbox...but my xbox cant find my pc. i really wish i could find a fix for this
