Media Streaming Function - Help

For some inexplicable reason, my xbox cannot "see" my windows 7 PC with WMP 12 for e.g. streaming music from the dashboard.

On the other hand, the media center connection works fine, so it can't be a hardware issue.

Media streaming is enabled in WMP, and also under "advanced streaming settings" in network and sharing center. The xbox is "seen" on the network by the PC, and my media is shared with it, but when I go to "test PC connection" on the xbox, it doesn't see any computers to pull media from.

I have tried turning off windows firewall and all antivirus software, to no avail. Both the xbox and PC are wirelessly connected to my router. I used to have a vista PC, and streaming work fine, so I suppose its nothing to do with the router.

Please help, this is really infuriating.
