Flagged, But Not Banned

Flagged basically means you will get banned. So, you can play online until that happens. Who knows when you will get banned, though. All you know, is that they know that you have a flashed drive.

i think losing the ability to install to hard drive happens once you connect and are officially banned...

i think there is a file you can remove from the hard drive to fix this once it happens, but you will still be banned...

later,
Chris

i would recommend staying offline with the console... just so microshaft cant hit you with the ban hammer and wipe out all the functions of your beloved 360...

I thought they reverted back from doing that because of all of the negative P.R. they got?

Also, if you are paranoid about it, you could also write-protect the chip to prevent the full-fledged ban.

yeah, you're probably just best off not going online. i got banned and its a real pain to uncorrupt all your saves, and profile data, especially since i had a lot of games.

Hi, Xval says i have been flagged for a ban, but i am still able to play online, I thought  i would of been banned as soon as i went online with my xbox.
Is this normal?

Just checked a customer's console and they have this:
IPB Image

He burns games before checking online, so I assume he used an ap2.5 game before coming to update his firmware from me.

I still play online but have not been banned as of yet.
Today was the release of a new update. So I updated and now
Black opps won't load I get the unreadable disk error,
It's the only game which does this all the others are ok.
Very strange, has anyone else had this problem?

Just got one today with the new update. I backed up my NAND just for fun a while back before it got flagged. I'm gonna heat up the soldering iron and get ready to put the backup back on while I flash the drive to the new LT+ and see what happens.

This topic has been receiving far too much attention for such a simple issue.
Just because you are flagged doesn't mean you will be banned immediately upon connecting to Live. Expect it to happen soon, however.

I am going to close this topic and forward any other lurkers wondering about the new Xbox Live update to the proper thread.

@mike9951: Go to the thread I linked to. It will enlighten you as to what's going on.
