Will The April 6 Update Affect Usage Of Backups?

8955. Jasper. I have the April 6 update file in the USB already, but I'm paranoid that the update might render my XBox useless as it may stop my backups (originals are trophies, untouched, I never go online anyway). Enlighten me please and thank you. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

the kernel update has nothing to do with the firmware on your dvd drive in your 360
