Launching God Container From External Hdd
« on: March 22, 2010, 09:07:00 AM »

Hi guys,

propably topic nr 1000 about this subject but I cant figure it out exactly.
I JTAGged my xbox360,, now im running XBR3. Everything went fine and I am able to play XBLA games and run xex's using xexloader. Next step for me is, running games from my external HDD connected to the USB post (one of the two in front). So I downloaded ISO2GOD and made some nice GOD packages, however, when I put those GOD folders in the root folder of my HDD (FAT32 formatted) I don't see them showing up in my dash.
My GOD Container for Guitar hero 5 is a folder named '41560840', within this folder is a folder named '00007000' in there is the data folder. This is correct, right?

What am I doing wrong, it is possible to launch GOD containers from external HDD, right? Or do I just need another program on my xbox to launch those GOD's?

You need to put them like in here:
USB://content/0000000000000000/

So it will be USB://content/0000000000000000/41560840/00007000/

Then you just grab the latest freestyle dash and off you go
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VRTUOFLG

Or if you want the stable release with the cover downloader go to
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XEJQKZ10

That is IMO the best option since you wont be able to play XBLA/Gods from usb from the stock dashboard

I tried to put the GOD container in the /content/0000000000000000/ on my xbox HDD and now the GOD game is showing up in dashboard:) Only way to play the GODs on USB-drive is using an alternative dashboard like FreeStyle?

Use Quickboot to make a shortcut on your xbox HDD then FSD will be able to see and launch the GOD files!
See how that works out for ya! smile.gif
