This is amazing news.  Now XBMC may be the app a large amount of people are looking to run, but it doesn't define the Original Xbox.  There is a mass amount of other homebrew that we may have a chance at running on the 360 because of this, not just XBMC.  XBMC is just ONE app.

So now that Live on Xbox1 is nearly at end is now legal to post Xbox1 homebrew executables that are created using the official Microsoft SDK? cause the op just posted two links to an Avalaunch iso with its game id changed to match HALO game id...  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/uhh.gif)

Not really new news. This has been possible for years via a hacked xb1 backward-compatibility update (originally on dev, and more recently on jtagged units). We had Avalaunch, Surreal64, XBMC, and other xb1 homebrew running on 360 back in 2006 (you can find the news items about it in the X-S archive). The hacked back-compat has just never been released publicly. While this is a much less elegant way of achieving the same end result, it's neat though that someone has finally stumbled upon an alternate way to do it. Sadly though, in the end, XBMC doesn't work for playing back videos this way. An actual port needs to be done.

It's amazing to run all that nice Xbox1 homebrew stuff on my 360. Maybe this will also give a boost to original Xbox homebrew?

I Agree 100% with what mumdad says . A port needs 2 be done to take advantage of all the new hardware available.

There are several versions of the xb1 emu, i think 8 in total.

you should try other title id's to test the other emulator versions, maybe they will run better.
