farmboy can you explain to me exactly what you did. i burned the modified iso you provided to cd, if i try to load it, it returns to dash and says re download game. i have the files that you linked to and put them on my usb stick, you said you have to put it in hddx but i cant copy anything there. the hddx partition just says at the bottom of xexmenu 0.00gb/0.00gb. please help m8

I had the same problem, the partition hddx is there but can not copy nothing left inside, I changed my original 20gb hd for one of the 320 western digital and formatted via NXE, is this the problem? Can anyone help?

the question is can this method be used to play standard def media over a SMB share? if so then its win because I cant do that with my 360 now.

i did the same took out the stock 20gb and put in a 160gb and let nxe format it. im totally confused, cant find anything anywhere on the net.

if you read the xboxhacker thread you pointed out you will see that they got avalaunch to boot witn no video only sound but as you can clearly see on my youtube vid there is video and sound & the way i done it it can be used to boot secondary xbe files.
 anyway i dont give a sh1t about who got where first i dont care for credit or whatnot all i want is for all xbox360 and xbox1 homebrew to be released to the public where it should be so everyone gets a chance to make it better, even a noob doing random testing helps us all

you must not have partition 2 on your harddrive, use xplorer360 to backup partition 2  from  an original 20\120\250gb ms hdd then restore the backup to your hdd

one thing I hate is that there are always videos with loud metal music and I hate this, just leave it mute if you dont want to put the audio into the video but this is crappy as hell

Try reading it again..he says "Halo 1 WILL BOOT from the E:\ drive from Avalaunch however you get no video...Controls and audio work fine"
Anyway I'm not getting into an argument over who did what 1st either... if you found this by yourself fine

You have to get an HD original 20gb or 120GB or 250GB, connect it to pc, use a program called "Xplorer360" backup the partition 2 and then take your hard drive you currently use in your x360, turn it on pc and by xplorer360 restore the backup of partition 2. I did it and it worked very well for me.
