Homebrew New Xbox360
« on: February 27, 2010, 05:29:00 PM »

I have a new xbox that I just bought man in 2010 from what I gather there is no way to get homebrew on to it right? If that is so does it look like it might be possible in the future?

Thanks

I will nice today.

So far there has been a SINGLE yes single exploit discovered on the 360 and it is now 100% locked out in all systems made after april 18th and any that has been updated to an 8XXX dash.

So to sum up, no that console is not exploitable and the chances of a new exploit being found is supper slim.

I got a new XBOX 360 too. But it says it's version 7363, though it's a Jasper 512. The guy I bought it from says it's modified but he doesn't know anything about the kind of modification (chip or flash). He just says that pirated discs will run.

Now, that's actually not what I want to know about. Just to say my 360 is modified. I cannot test it, because I don't have pirated discs. What I want to do is run games (the original ones) off a hard drive (120 GB, internal). I'd probably soon want to use a larger USB drive for that, but that's later...

So far I've read a lot about NXE2GOD and Quickboot and other applications  that look just awesome by their description / specs. I'd just like to try some of them out (also maybe game patches for cheats:) etc).

Anyway, here's the real problem (sorry for the long intro hehe): How can I get the applications over to the 360, apparantly it doesn't have an FTP server. I'm looking for something like a Slayer's disc for the original XBOX. Or just a very, very detailed tutorial how to set up an FTP on the 360. Please point me, thanks in advance.

sim stim and OP look at the back of your xboxes and tell me what date they were made.

sim stim there is a 50/50 chance your box is jtagable u have to wire up an lpt/usb flasher to dump your nand and find out your cb/cd version look aroud here for the jtag exploitability matrix once u find the cb/cd of your x360 and go from there

but i can tell you dead on right now just because ur drive is flashed it doesent mean it will boot unsigned code it just bypasses the security sectors/media check so u can run backups

LOL ok so I guess I asked the wrong questions to the guy who sold it to me. I always thought if you can play "backups" you can also run any homebrew...Ok so let me check the box...

MFG Date: says 2009-09-22. Kernel is 7363. Does this info help in any way? Because someone said any 360 after April should be on 8xxx version (if I got it right). But how does that go with my MFG date? Did they put an old board into a new casing? But the internal memory shows 512 MB and the pwoer supply is 150W, so.....I'm basically confused now! biggrin.gif

Thats an un-exploitable console.

After April 18th systems where shipped with the updated CB section in the NAND blocking the exploit form the factory not through the 8XXX update like people who already owned the console.

Alright can someone link me to more jtag info and maybe even the compatibility matrix even though I probably won't need it.
I have like 4 360s from 2007 a couple of which are banned but that shouldn't be a biggie for this project.  Are there any good guides up yet?  Thanks smile.gif

Side question, if I purchase a cygnosv2 how much extra work (aside from installing the chip) will I have to do to jtag the 360?  Will it still require a custom cable soldered to the mobo?
