hi all,

I've just spent last couple of days, sorting out preview videos for the XBLA portion of the freestyle dash for trailers to play.

Soooo tedious to do - but pleased I finally completed it.

The files are already sorted and named correctly into the 58410A24 etc folders, so just needs extracting to the fsdata\artwork folder, and they should be picked up without any problems (providing you've already run FSD Indexer before that is).

I've also kept the covers from the FSD Indexer in too which may save some time for those needing to do an update.

All the trailers, I've tried to take from Gametrailers or IGN, the majority of which are, but there is the odd trailer for a game that was very hard to find any footage whatsoever, so those will have to do until better turns up.

All titles are on there as far as I can tell including the new 3 titles that were released yesterday.

I have not included Afterburner as it has not been officially released and only early leaked versions so dont touch that with a barge pole (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif).

I've just started it uploading now to newsgroups, it will be about 2.85gb including the par files.

XBLA Preview Video Collection For Freestyle it should hopefully show up....though it literally has only started the upload a few minutes ago. I can see it starting to show on nzbindex now slowly.

Anyone who gets the set is more than welcome to post to megaupload or whatever sites they want if people need it, just my download is maxed at 50k/sec at its best, so don't have time to upload to multiple sources.

Just to add, NCAA March Madness, there is no xbla trial available of this game, and I do not own this title, I have however still created the correct folder for it, so it 'should' work fine for anyone who does have it.

Ha ha I didn't know you were working on these. I have a batch file that create a folder with the movie name, moves the movie into the folder, renames it preview.wmv, then rars it for ya. Probably would have saved ya some time. PM me your email and I'll send it to ya for future videos.

I'm not sure if it would have saved any time tbh in this instance.

XBLA games in the artwork folder, only have the name of the id folder its in

eg, 58410A16, 58410A24, 584107D1, 584107D2, 584107D3 etc.  Disc based games are easier and go into a folder that matches the game name.  So I would have had to rename the video to those names in the first place for it to have made those foldernames, and then anyone who downloads them would have to sort through them.

At least this way, I have them in place correctly as they should be in the artwork folder in the relevant subfolder so anyone who downloads should need to do nothing but extract the whole lot into that artwork folder.....and also the positions should not change based on their ID name, unless of course someone had been messing around renaming the id numbers of them xbla games on their console...which would be daft (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

took some hours of uploading - but they're finally finished now (well the main files are - some pars also uploaded - just a few extra pars to finish off)

you should be able to see all the files by now within supersearch or sites like nzbindex and binsearch if search

working flawlessly for the couple i tried, a few had the audio WAY to high made surround crackle, but hey beggars can't be choosers! lol looks awesome now will look even better when i get the cover art as well!

Any specific ones with way too high audio?  presume they're possibly the ones where youtube was the only option - they could probably be tweaked though by a quick pass through any video convertor again with normalize audio settings.

From now on be a case of picking off and noting down any majorly bad ones and then trying to replace individually.

oh and as for cover art.  If you run FSD Indexer, I think it may scan through but auto use the cover arts that were provided in the files I uploaded?  suspect it would run through quickly skipping all those it finds already, then just be a case of pressing to save the xml file

Hi, I'm a noob but where do I download the "XBLA Preview Video Collection For Freestyle" from?  
I don't understand when you say you have uploaded it to newsgroups I tried to find newsgroups and all I seem to get is stuff about the news?
