IPB Image

Has this only with the installer I don't remember scanning the old version but I did before i put on my Flash drive for backup but now it's telling me the same thing after updating Spybot - Search & Destroy that the old and new version after adware and yet Avira AntiVir Personal got a better Heuristic Scan then Spybot - Search & Destroy. Maybe this was the cause of my 30 hours fights with adware.

Update I just scanned everything on my flash drive the one I use for backup and everything came back with the Win32.Agent.wsg in rar the stealth.in and even the Readme for God Sake what the hell is going on with the Adware yay I know it's in the .rar but for the Readme and the stealth.ini to be adware I can't see it.

So I just did some research because no one cares about there PC by the look of it so the hell with you people, this is just for the Powerusers no NOOB'S who don't care about there PC and why they got to pay $200 a year on a PC after they buy it because they can't take the time to fine out what the problem is. Why Spybot - Search & Destroy is saying it Win32.Agent.wsg and along with the list below Are Adware they don't know about this so to them it's Adware or viruses witch it ant hope this helps.

HddHackr_v1.22_Build_20091022
Xplorer360.beta6
Xplorer360_250gb_Edition
abgx360_v1.0.1_setup and v1.0.2
S360X_V4.1 and extracted
Xbox Backup Creator v2.9.0.306 and extracted
XDVDMulleterBeta10.2 if anyone uses this anymore because I don't seen any use of it.

A heuristic scan is used to detect new, unknown viruses in your system that have not yet been identified. Only some antiviruses can do this type of scan, the majority are only able to detect  known viruses.

How does a heuristic scan work?
Virus detection is based on recognition of a signature or string of code which identifies a certain virus. Similar to how investigators use characteristics to identify criminals; antiviruses look for ‘digital footprints’ in order to recognize a virus.Nevertheless, to detect an unknown virus, a particular signature or recognized code does not yet exist. For this reason a heuristic scan is used.Heuristic methods are based on the piece-by-piece examination of a virus, looking for a sequence or sequences of instructions that differentiate the virus from ‘normal’ programs.

Advantages and disadvantages of heuristic scans.
The principle advantage of this method is the ability to detect known and unknown viruses, based on common characteristics shared by different viruses. Yet heuristic scans have their share of inconveniences, such as the length of time the scan takes, which is longer than other types. Also, depending on data an increased number of false positives can occur.

most likely a false positive.

i use CA Systems software, used by the military and Govt, detects nothing.

most likely they are coming up because they communicate with hardware directly, not using windows API

also it could be because of websites they contact, like ABGX
