Network Streaming Issue

I got my xbox and PC hooked up an isolated router and I'm playing files
through samba
but whenever I'm playing a bigger file (>300MB) the video just keeps skipping
kinda like it's not buffering correctly and tends to sync up after like a min but will
skip again a few mins later
anyone else have this issue?

Netowrk issue, not setup correctly or not fast enough.  I can play large movies streaming off my external hardrive with no problems at all.

ok let me rephrase that
the video will play fine, but if I attempt to fastforward some
it'll start skipping and won't sync up

i did until i got ccxstream.

it fixed my problem with playing videos from the PC, and it seems to respond a little better than SMB.
