Yup I plugged in my HD from a non-banned box into my banned box and it updated and everything the op says is true. everything that boots on the banned box shows as corrupted on non-banned boxes and you cannot install games to the HD anymore.

Same problem on my xbox360.   The latest dashboard removes the ability to install games on my banned console.  Too bad I didn't read this forum before updating my dashboard.

I got the same issues as mentioned. I'm getting a new xbox360 fairly soon so I'm going to back up my HDD onto my PC and then format the HDD and restore them back. that should work ok

Apparently this new ban wave removed the ability to install games on modded consoles.

I have a question for those of you that are getting this message for all games:
Can you play the games that you had previously installed to the 360 off the hard drive?

Kinda sucks that now you not only have to fear not being able to access live ever again, but your xbox sounding like a jet for the rest of it's life.

Has anyone who has been banned tested Xplorer360 and transferring the saves? I doubt the ban modified the saves to give a corruption error, so I think this is being done at the Dashboard/Kernel level when you're banned.

That was my question. I am guessing Xplorer360 won't be able to transfer the saves because they are now getting encrypted based on the console's ID. That is why they appear corrupt when moved to another console. Just a guess...

so what you guys are saying is what's on the banned HDD stays on the banned HDD? there is no possible way to move it to either a different xbox or different HDD?

Besides the ability to install games on the banned xbox, dose it still work as before like you are able to load and save games?

what if you take your banned hdd and play a game on the not banned xbox and then and put it in the banned xbox can you access the safe?

Do you get the ban from the second you make a connection with Live and get the email? Or do you get the email even if you don't connect to live?
If you get an email before you have a chance to avoid not being able to install games on hdd..

They do not send out emails for console bans, so you would not know until you connect to live.
