Halo 3 Maps Can They Be Loaded From A Usb Stick?

is there a place i could download halo3 maps ive tried torrents and cant find one with the legendary and dlc and mythic map packs but if i do find the how can i get them on to my hdd so i can use them on live... can i use a usb drive a cd or dvd burned as an iso .... tell me what i need to do

oh and i have the tools to remove the hdd from its case but once its out can i just put it in a 2.5inch external drive case i have (i dont remember if its a sata or ide connector) but what are the drives ide or sata also what would i have to do to get the maps on the drive using this method
