im looking to find out if i can download the update without being hooked up to live and how can i do this or shell i say where can i get this update from also will this affect the software i put on my dvd drive

wont affect your dvd firmware....

heres the link from xbox.xom, 75mb download for the offline installer so should include avatars, not tested as i updated my consoles via live..

that is the new dash with the avatars. i have done this on a number of banned consoles. confirmed to work!

Ok... So now we got the avatars on a banned console... Still doesnt change that if its a banned console, we cant stream avi movies to the console... Is there a solution for this somwhere ?

I think i read something about one that converted them into something else in order to make them play, but i cant seem to find that thread again... So if this is the only solution, is it possible someone could share which applications they use and which format it needs to be in order for a banned console with NXE dashboard, is able to stream them ?
