How Update The Game Software Without Live?

Yesterday I downloaded new car pack for forza motorsport 2 on my harddrive, I did it on my friend's unbanned xbox through live. I start the game on my banned xbox, but I can't find the cars on the "car shop" ingame  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
I think I have to update the game first, and then the game will find the new cars.
BUT HOW do I update the game? Isn't it possible to download the latest update and burn it on a cd and then install it on xbox or something?

The short answer is you can't.

When you purchase DLC on the Marketplace, the initial download is available to all users of that console (in this case, your friends 360).

To play it on another 360, you need to sign into Xbox Live with the account that purchased it. Only that account has access to it on that console, unless another account buys it on that 360 (in which case it counts as an initial download as above). Because you can't login to Xbox Live, your purchase cannot be verified and can't be used. Sorry!

Untrue. He can do this offline but he just killed his chance. The first time you download the DLC off of xbl it allows all profiles on that console to use it (just like stated above). If you would of had your account recovered on his xbox360 you could of had him download it and the pack would have been available for you if you used a hard drive tool to transfer the dlc over to your hardrive then it would have worked under your profile.

it locks to the system, not the harddrive. if he had taken his harddrive and put it on his friends system, it would accomplish the same thing as what you just said, however upon taking it home, the CONSOLE would be different and the license wouldn't be valid.

banned console essentially means no DLC at this time. (maybe if we're lucky, ms will release a server side update that allows banned consoles to verify license data)
