Halo 3 Update?

Hmm.. Call me n00b but I let my 360 "update" with whatever was on the HALO 3 disc and now everything (dash, Halo 3, other games) are all black and white...Repairable how? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) TIA.

Hey im with this guy. I updated the game and now my xbox goes to a purple screen on start up everytime that says update fail call XBOXlive this is non modded legit one. And CS says they have no idea. Any idea how to get it where i can at least go back to my dashboard or something I have even tried other games no luck.
