Hi

Quick question that maybe someone here could answer.

Is there a way to develop a website that can retrieve xbox friends list etc for specific gamertags. I know xbox.xom have recently provided a friends list management facility but is it possible to provide this functionality on a private site?

Yes, the Yahoo Widget Engine can do this (not a website, a smooth-looking window that sits on your desktop).
Here is the homepage for it.
And HERE is the link to the widget you want.

Installing it is VERY easy and instructions can be found with the download and on the site.

That looks great but I am really looking to know how to connect to xbox.com myself and retrieve the gamer data.

Any thoughts on that?

You do connect to xbox.com using that widget. You connect through your Passport. You then click on the friend , and his stats are displayed.

Yeah that widget seems to do what I am looking for but I want to integrate that functionality into a website so I am really looking to understand the code or find some FAQ etc on how to do it.
