Problems Connecting Xbox 360 To Pc
« on: February 19, 2006, 01:34:00 PM »

ok so i got mce 2005 and i got my tv tuner working and all...

so now i want to connect the 360 to the computer.... im using a crossover since its a direct connection, and i have ICS enabled. my firewall is disabled.

so on my nic card that connects to my xbox i set up a static ip of 192.168.0.2 and my 360s static ip is 192.168.0.3

they are both on the same 255.255.255.0 on the subnet

BUT I CANT SEE THE DAMNED 360 FROM MY PC. i did the crossover cord to stream video efficiently.... what the hell am i doing wrong?

are there any tut's for this? i mean i cant use a pc-to-pc tut because the 360 doesnt have the same kind of interface.

thanks....

By "see the 360" do you mean ping it from the PC? Somehow I have MCE working fine with my 360 despite the fact the PC can't ping it!

Have you actually tried the setup? What error message do you get? Post the contents of dvcsetup.log and dvcconn.log from your Windows directory up here as they will include a pointer to what's wrong...
