Halo 2 Bugs
« on: February 18, 2006, 07:32:00 PM »

Well, I just got myself a 360 and have found that some annoying (sometimes cool) bugs occur on the 360 that didn't happen my old Xbox.

The main ones I'm worried about are:

I.  Randomly floating on Lockout
Sometimes, while jumping around like an idiot on Lockout, I'll start floating.  It's really wierd.

II.  Seeing faint pictures of other maps on the screen
Again, unlike the other one, this is EXTREMELY annoying.  On most games that I don't have connection host, I'll see a faint picture of another map (Usually Lockout or Headlong).   Sometimes this can make it very hard to play and actually see what you're doing.

If anyone has experienced these, has suggestions to fix the problems, or has found other problems, let me know.

Well the first of your problems, about the randomly floating while jumping, does in fact happen on the original Xbox also.
Try it for yourself, don't take my word for it. Just keep jumping and you'll get stuck in the air. It's actually a a slight glitch and can be taken to the extreme if you know what to do.
Now the second problem you have...I have no clue. o_O

I just get really odd artifacting on distant objects, but if I zoom in on them, the textures are fine.  It's usually only a single item, like a tall rock on Burial Mounds, and it looks like it's made up of thick black diagonal lines.

first question do you have a flat panel rear projection tv here is why

rear projection tvs are not compatible with video game consoles they cause picture tube burning what this means is if you leave a image on your screen for a long period of time the image will permently burn into the picture tube solution replace the picture tubes 3x$389 a picture tube that is why you do not use projection tvs

The overlay of two screens is a known emulation bug for Halo 2.

If you are in delta halo ,after that bit when you lower the bridge ,go to the bit straight after the bit with the bridge (the one with a the pool and lots of energy shields arround the place)  ,get a ghost and drive up onto the rock mountain wall (the one that's on the right). The wall looks pretty vertical and steep ,but if you use that nitro thing on the ghost you'll make it up and onto the wall. If you can't get up on the wall ,try and get up on the wall from different angles. When you're up on the wall ,turn left and drive on for a while. You'll find different levels from the game all over that "mountain range". You'll also findthat you'll be able to get to the other side of that big lake ,cuz it wasn't even programmed to be filled with water. You'll be able to just drive right through the "water" to the bottom of the lake (which is just like a giant field) ,you'll also notice that all the buildings on the "lake" are actually just floating. But BEWARE!!! ,when you are trying to get down to the "lake" ,pick a bit of the mountain which isn't steep cuz if it is ,when you'll try to drive down to the lake you'll die and have to start all over ,(basically ,just drive slow of an even hill). NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL A GLITCH!!!!!!! muhaha.gif
