Can't Get Dashlaunch 3.07 To Load Freestyle After The 1st Time

When I go to DashLaunch--> Path---> Default and put it as Freestyle's default.xex, then click RB and X to save launch.ini then A to load from launch.ini it goes fine.  Then when I restart console I have to reformat my harddrive or unplug it because it won't turn on at all, or at best it will go to MS Dash.

note: I am only using external 500gb hard drive, no xbox hd. not sure if this could be the problem
