Xmenu v0.3 - ELF Loader for Xbox360
Posted by XanTium | September 20 00:24 EST | News Category: Xbox360

Cpasjuste released the first public version of Xmenu for the free60 XeLL JTAG hack. It's a GUI .ELF Loader (a basic dashboard if you want) that can be used to load other libxenon homebrew software on your Xbox 360.

From the readme/nfo:
Quote

Xmenu 0.3
Xmenu is an elf loader with a basic gui.

Installation
Copy the file xenon.elf and the "xenon" folder to the root of your usb disk/pen.
Load it with the free60.org hack.

Changelog
Version 0.3 :
- It's now possible to load custom icons. Put a ".png" image (32 bits, with alpha channel, 32*32 pixels would be better)
alongside your executable file, with the ".ico" extension. Example :
If you have an executable named "snes9x.elf", put the ".png" icon in the same directory with the name "snes9x.ico".
Version 0.2 :
- Graphics data is now loaded at startup, allowing to customise.
- Smaller fonts, this allow more items to be displayed.
Version 0.1 :
- Alpha testing version.

Download: here (legal, via Xell, using libxenon)

is anyone else getting flaky wireless controller support?

mine works fine for like a minute and then just stops working altogether the only way to fix it is to reboot and then re sync the controller..  tried a second controller and new batteries and same thing happens ... works fine with snes emu.. just this app is flaky.

So am i getting this whole thing right? it is no possible to run homebrew on the 360 even if you have already updated to the newest kernel (that is if you have an "old" 360).
My last knowledge of "Downgrading" is, that you still need to know you cpu key, which you can not get with the new kernel.

Correct me if i am wrong: Downgrade or loading a kernel which supports homebrew is now possible even if you have upgradet to the newest and don`t have the CPU key?

Sorry for stupid questions but i got a little konfused here ;-)

it just sux that all these hacks are for xenon only but still good work but we need to be finding alternate methods for enabling homebrew on the lastest kernel

Thats where you guys are all thinking wrong. We dont need to find the alternative points but we need to wait for a compatible xell. They promised they will release alternative points so have a little bit of patience. These guys are doing a fantastic job so show some respect!
