Whoaaaa ... anybody gets this as well when accessing rewards.xbox.com??

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) Server at rewards.xbox.com Port 80

Hilarious that MS is using Apache on the xbox.com website (is IIS not reliable enough?), and that they are dumb enough to not even configure it right!!!

That's right suckers. Keep pecking for bread crumbs. I am NOT a Sony fan or whatever, but come on. PSN is (still) free. This is nowhere good enough.

Yeah, just get pissed and all. I just can't understand the fact that people are paying for live. I've migrated all my new game purchases to the ps3 (except exclusives, but there aren't really that many). Yeah sure the xbox360 controllers are better and some features on live are probably better than on psn, but not pay vs. free better.

But you must be satisfied I guess. Market shows that you want to pay for xbox live.

So keep on rockin' the free world!

No its not.  They are trying to get you to buy things from them.  So when you do you get a really small reward.  Giving people digital points to buy digital items?  Thats not a loss to them at all.  Think about all the gamer pics, themes, and gay avatar items they sell.  Those cost nearly nothing to produce except probably paying someone to design it.  So its almost 100% profit everytime you spend 160MS points for an avatar item.  Also considering they get $50 for a sub to live instead of a store makes them more money too.  When you buy a 12 months say from walmart for cheaper then $50, say $35-40, that makes you wonder, wow I wonder what walmart pays for these.  So then MS probably makes another $20-25 per 12 month sale when you buy direct from them instead of a 3rd party seller.

This just adds incentive to what we already do.. reup xbox live every year. The whole sony psn thing is moot since they do have a pay service which is total crap. $50 so you get discounts on stuff.. wow.. thanks. Cross game chat yet? Nope. ESPN? I could go on and on but live's larger online community and overall quality trumps free psn any day.

Also, amazon still has 1 yr cards for $42 so I'm cool paying that for a vastly superior product once a year.

Will this work in Ireland???

I singed up for it and it seems to work but no confirmation e-mail yet.

If it says applies to country A and B only why are you asking if it will apply to country C???

I got my confirmation pretty quickly after I signed up.

not really worth it IMO, says they reward you for "doing things you already do" but dont mention that it doesnt count if youve already done them

IE, first marketplace purchase, if you made a marketplace purchase at any time before signing up for rewards, you can never get this reward, same goes for signing up for netflix, or XBL gold, or even renewing gold

much better way to get free points is bing rewards, ive gotten almost 2000 points from there since october
