Can I Update Already?

Hello, I'm using a Lite On DVD driver with Lite Touch firmware installed.
I realy wanna play Black Ops online today, but I'll have to download the update.

Black Ops is not a AP2.5 and I dont and have never played an AP2.5 game yet.
Is it safe for me to update and play online?
