Major Nelson's Xbox Live Account Hacked Over the Weekend Posted by XanTium | March 29 13:38 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From 1up.com: Over the weekend, a hacker who identified himself as "Roid-Monkey" gained access to Hryb's Major Nelson account and modified the account, Kotaku reports. The hacker shared his Skype username and offering to hack into any Xbox Live account for $100 in the biography, name, and location fields. A YouTube video also surfaced that appears to show someone going through the profile on Xbox.com. (IMG:http://pictures.xbox-scene.com/xbox360/nelson/MajorHacked-200.jpg) The situation, however, has since been taken care of. Hryb announced on Twitter that he had regained control of his account as of Sunday night. Xbox Live Director of Policy and Enforcement Stephen Toulouse also addressed the matter on Twitter, promising that it would be investigated. I think the whole thing is kinda funny . Personally I can't stand the guy. He's like someones creepy dad that tries to act cool for the kids. Always updating his twitter with random crap about the awesome stuff he's currently up to   . He's a really strange/bad choice for the job IMO.

I wouldn't consider guessing the answer to his e-mail's security question (which is what he most likely did) "hacking". I'd call it "guessing".

I just called Major Nelson on his cell if you notice in the video before he goes to skype the number is there you pause it call it and it goes to voicemail...

If you knew anything about how it happened, which obviously you don't, you would know there wasn't "NO" guessing involved....There is a number of possibilities on how this was done..exploits,keyloggers, hell it could have been someone he personally knows looking for some fame and fortune...Point being if you we're to try and "Guess" the account after say 3 tried the account would be locked up for a bit...
