Weird Xmbc Problem
« on: January 23, 2005, 10:15:00 AM »

I'm having a weird problem with my XMBC.

I have a moded XBox and I'm running XBMC 1.1 on my retail 8gb hard drive and everything was working fine.  I decided I wanted to upgrade the hard drive, so I bought a 160gb hard drive and used Slayer's AutoInstaller 2.6 to set it up.  Everything worked without a problem, including the XBMC version that's included with Slayer's AutoInstaller.  However, I wanted to copy back my XBMC from the old hard drive, since it has my skins and customized xml files installed.  AFter copying them to the new hard drive, everything seemingly worked...I could launch my games/programs from XMBC...I could view my photos.  However, for some reason I couldn't play audio or video.  After selecting either an audio or video file, it would blink for a second but never play the file.  If I switch back to the XBMC that was installed with Slayer's, music and video play fine.  But when I switch back to the other version, it still won't play music or video.  Any ideas as to what's happening here? <

Try deleting the whole directory you have XBMC installed & reinstalling it. If it still doesn't work, delete the "0face008" folders in the E:\TDATA & E:\UDATA folders <
