Live Updates With Ixtreme Lt?

Ok... So I bought a brand new Elite and flashed it straight out of the box to LT, never intended it to go on Live... but now I need the Divx codec and when I try to connect it explains that I cannot access Live unless I apply the update...

Has anyone applied any of the Live updates whilst using iXtreme LT?.. I'm abit warey as the release .nfo states "Apply updates with caution!"

you should be fine with that type of update mate, i believe there talkin about major dashboard updates like the 8955 which made the old firmware visable ...

you might want to think twice.. your 360 might be old enough to use the Jtag exploit?  Sure the xvid codec would be nice... but you might want to weight the pros and cons of possibly JTag'ing it in the future.

Ah no... It's definately not Jtag'able... Dash Kernel is at the latest... I only bought it 2 months ago anyway, was probably none exploitable out of the box. So I updated the 93450c to iXtreme LT...

I've a funny feeling that I've been making myself look a fool here though and that the Live update that I mean is actually just a few things that the Live service downloads just to get you up and running for the first time! The console has never been on-line yet ya see!

Well at least I hope I'm right in thinking that anyway lol!

Now just hope that I don't have to create another GamerTag to download the DivX codec again as I've already downloaded it once to my 2nd (older) Xbox... Hmmmm!

If it makes you feel better, restore it to orig firmware before the updates, then flash back.
