Swapping Harddrives. Banned To Unbanned

I have two consoles:

Console A: Retail w/ 20gig HDD

Console B: Banned with 120 gig HDD

My question is, is there anyway to move that 120 gig HD to the Retail console, while saving most of the files on it? I know I'll lose my NHL and MW2 saves because I've opened them since the banning. But my question is, can I just swap them and delete the corrupted saves only, or do I have to reformat the drive? I'd like to get that 20 gig HD onto the banned console because I obviously won't be accumulating DLC and the such on the banned console.
