To Flash Or Not Flash...that Is The Question
« on: November 22, 2009, 08:54:00 PM »

Yes, I to was banned in the great wave of 2009.

I currently have been playing my xbox live retail games on an unmodded console. I have been playing my backups on my UNbanned modded console. Just simply switching the HDD for acheivments and such.

Well the sucker just red ringed on me.

So now Im down to two consoles.

One brand new flashable arcade unit, and one Samsung pretty new console.

If I was gonna flash one of the two Id choose the one with the sammy drive, because I can flashback the firmware.

But should I wait for LT to come out? I know at some point Im gonna want to get back on live with my backups when its safe.

If I mod my sammy, it will not touch live until new firmware is out.

Do you guys think its safe to mod now keep offline and reflash later? Or should I just be patient and wait for the LT and do a fresh mod then?

I am looking for opinions.

I honestly don't think any new firmware is going to be "safe". I'd flash the Samsung and just keep it offline. If you really trust the firmware "update", then I'd wait just to play it safe.

I flashed a BenQ with 1.41 Non-Stealth firmware spoofed as a Sammy a few weeks ago and have yet to show any sign of being banned/flagged.
