OMFG!!!!!!!

If your son has requested a new "processor" from a company called "AMD", this is genuine cause for alarm. AMD is a third-world based company who make inferior, "knock-off" copies of American processor chips. They use child labor extensively in their third world sweatshops, and they deliberately disable the security features that American processor makers, such as Intel, use to prevent hacking.
Well there is a tiny bit of truth to this. -- AMD started in 1969, and in 1975 Intel released the 8080 processor, AMD then "REVERSE-IT" (back in the days when this was allowed), and then started producing
tons of cheap "knock-off" clones, and this battle contiune for a few more years, of Intel releasing a new processor, and AMD cloning it. -- As for third-world labour, it was bad, I toured some of the factorys in asia during the early '80s and god it was horrible seeing the tons of young woman soldering away building cheap clones of the early computers, but this was in the assembly factories of electronics, not in the processor chip labs which have to be 100% clean-rooms to make the chip die itself.
It is funny how AMD which did start out with its hacking/cloning routes and turn out to multi-billion dollar company, now these days with all the new laws, lawyers, and rules, if you tried to do the same thing, reverse-eng, the CELL processer on the PS3 designed by IBM/Sony/Toshiba you would quickly end up in jail before you could even market it. -- Times have changed. -- And it is making me feel real old suddenly.
