Oh and thanks for not only blocking us from your service, but also HACKING our hard drives and F'ing our data up.   Oh and for those of you who had MS scratch your retail disks due to crappy dvd drives, so you went and backed up your $60 games so the originals wouldn't get damaged.. THIS IS WHAT YOU GET for trying to protect yourself from MS BS hardware!

Now we should see more online gamers on PS3, more sales on PS3 which will hopefully prompt Sony to make a better online gaming service/community (Without charging fees!).

Anyways, that's my 2 cents.  Oh and I almost forgot, ... what do Twitter and Facebook have to do with gaming?  Someone at MS is smoking something and losing perspective of what gaming is about..   Like there aren't enough computers and cell phones plastered with Facebook and Twitter nonsense..

I have created numerous accounts for various reasons easily over 10 myself.

So you can easily cut that figure in half or less considering 80% or more have created more than 1 account .

They just dropped the #'s of paid live subscribers by a huge margin which in the end will cost them lots of revenue as people defect to PS3.
Free Online service Free netflix streaming if you have an account with netflix and lots of good titles being PS3 exclusive's and a Blu-Ray player.
Oh not to mention they don't rape you on HDD prices just buy your hdd pop it in and go and hdd's are cheap.
You can get 500GB hdd's for under $100 for the PS3 while from MS you can get a 60gb for that price !

I'm not banned yet, but I don't play online.  I used live to buy arcade games or DLC.  I've been wondering why I haven't been banned.  As I don't have discs in the tray when I connect to live, it'd be hard for me to get banned, unless they could dump the firmware.

there hasnt been any official word that we are fully compromised.


im kind of excited to get banned [i modded mine on the 6th and ran a unproperly stealted mw2,  i just played a proper one ten min ago, still no ban], i want to do a GUT SWAP!

and 90% never bought games, MS is not losing much by banning people.  As a bonus they are making the game manufactures very happy right now

hi there im still confused about the whole hardrive situation.Ive recently purchesed the new limited edition cod console and the first thing i did was rip cod mw 2 to the new hardrive.Is it only the hardrive that was on the console at the time of banning that the feature gets disabled?

I am sure a large percentage of modders have purchased a reasonable amount of DLC with all the money they've saved not having to spend $60 per game.

Microsoft is going to be losing out on a lot of DLC sales.

I state again, microsoft will definatually have done the maths long before going ahead with any of this.  If microsoft is happy with the decisions they have made, then why is it of any concern to you and others what revenues they may or may not lose out on?  Ultimately it is their choice, we just have to accept it as there is noway of changing anything, surrounding these bans and getting back on xbl with those consoles. It is what it is, no need to pick up and even go as far to make presumptions as to what revenue sources they will lose out on.

It is never gonna happen one day MS boardroom, " we are losing too much money from dlc because we banned 1 million consoles", "ok well lets not ban again"

TBH I can't see many of the "fallen" as I call them defecting to Sony and the PS3. In fact with everything thats gone on I can forsee many people just buying another 360 on the basis that it's still cheaper to get an Elite 360 with a decent bundle than it is to get a standard PS3.

We all knew the risks in doing this, no one need to spit their dummy out, whine and moan. We did it, got caught, now suffer the consequences. All in all it's been a solid marketing tactic my M$ just as MW2 is out and with the run up to Christmas. If I had a hat I'd take it off to them.

There's some cracking deals out for the Elite at present, shame pay day is at the end of the month.

You know what? I totally agree here. I've been getting more and more jaded with Live over the last few months. It's become nothing but children who glitch/cheat/whatever to win at all costs, and then spew profanities and racist garbage at you. It's really a sad comment on today's society....I'm not missing it one bit.

And let's face it, these bannings are nothing but a marketing tactic from MS. If they *really* cared about piracy and theft, they'd make the consoles completely unusable and delete your gamertag. All this is, is a way to prop up sales for the Xmas season.

I have to agree with this, Then they also give you bad feedback if you beat them.
