God, when are people going to see, that 54420 error, blank pages, etc. -- Is no way a legit way to check if your ban or not.
The poor little xbox.com webserver/database, can not handle 600K+ people logging in to try to send in their banned console, along with 2 million or so reading this thread, trying to request a repair to see if they are banned or not.
I bet within a few days, M$ will either takedown the whole online "request a repair" or start banning gamertags that hammer or fraudly "request" repairs for known banned consoles, or various other reasons.
They could claim you are trying to hack their service or system, by causing overload in their warranty/repair service, and just BAN YOUR ASS TOTALLY!
(Just my random thoughts of the night)
I have registered all the consoles in my family, under my name and account.
my original banned unit, now sitting at a friends for his 12 yo who is not allowed online- 54420 error
My current Xbox-modded -54420 error
My mom's Xbox- not modded, replaced w/ new console by M$ after rrod repair- 54420 error
My friends xbox-modded-54420 error
My other friends xbox- not modded- able to submit repair
Outside of the one they replaced, The 54420 error seems to fit. Could I have gotten one back that the previous owner flashed then un-flashed?
This is all crazy, but one thing is for certain, My mom's was never modded and now it needs repair again. I guess I have to call in.
