Upon hearing of this ban wave I flashed the BenQ to original FW still spoofed as a Lite-on.

3 of my friends have been banned running IX1.51 on Lite-ons, all of them said their drives span up like crazy just before being banned.

Prior to me flashing back to original firmware, I:

- Never played a game early
- Never got my games via torrent sites
- Used Infiniti 360 DVD-DL discs burned at 8x using Imgburn
- Always do dashboard updates immediately

- I do have a modded WD Bevs 120GB harddrive.

I did notice this morning when I turned on my xbox that my router was sending and receiving more packets than usual to my xbox, but I have been playing my original copies of games all of today and so far so good.

Just an update, I logged into Live this morning and got banned.

But I went out today and brought a PS3 so meh.

The Hitachi XBOX has not been connected to live in months. It has not gotten the wireless update patch XBOX rolled out a few weeks back. I registered the console and was able to request a repair and advance.

My Lite-on drive has been online daily, played games online while connected to live, even used it for Netflix like crazy. I'm sure its marked to be banned because the repair website returns that 5440 error on this console.

I bought a legit XBOX I am not going to mod. I registered it and was able to request a repair on the XBOX.

Are there anybody left not banned? Seems MS is getting absolutely everybody. And with the latest 360's not flashable it seems MS might actually manage tp keep Live piracy free from now on.

guys can i use the saves and profile on my 20gb on my new elite 360 and not get it banned the 20gb is coming from a banned

so i can use like my old saves and unlocked fighting characters but....

im scared to even plug in the banned consoles 20 gb into my brand new fresh elite console i just got. with 120 gig hd.... search just aint the same... thanks.. for info.

ix1.61 on Bneq and not banned yet so I'm gonna keep it that way. I got scared about couple weeks ago and I assigned a static IP to the console and blocked internet access on the router. I never play on live and I don't really care about other live features. Only features I care about are media center and install capability which are still intact so its business as usual for me.

I'm still not banned and playing MOW2 each day since release.

Running 1.41 firmware on a Phillips drives.

My only thought on why I've escaped the ban is that I pay the £5 a month option instead of the 12/6 month pre paid.

Other than that no idea.

not offically banned yet. but i have been marked wih the repair test page. guess ill never get it back online with this one. going to use it for offline play then upload achievements through my other box. i want to keep my hdd working like it should.

hey, we had a good run, i know i did. was banned back with the halo 3 beta. once that box broke, i sold it and grabbed a new arcade, and modded my 07 elite. now its banned i'll have to go back to renting games for live.

I can't confirm or deny that I've been banned.

Last time I checked was last Saturday.

I can't use the repair method to check because it says my console is already registered (which I find is wierd).

I'm hoping its something that occurs when a disc (original or copy) is in the drive. This might indicate i'm not banned, as I don't use live for gaming at all, I pretty much just used to to by dlc or arcade games, which means the drive was always empty when the ethernet cable was in.

With so many people banned now I'm not sure I want to test my luck. Especially since we don't know whats causing the bans yet. If connecting once more gives them another look at my drive, that might be a bad idea.

I'll hold off until we find out what MS is doing to verify the firmware. I'm still hoping there using the jitter correction or something disc related to identify the firmware.
