Wow 210 pages on the banned console thread.. Not even 4 pages on the Non banned thread..

Looks like there is no escaping the ban hammer this time....  MUAHAHAAHAAAAAAAA

We should have a thread about those who posted in the unbanned section, then got banned 2 days later.

Mostly because they're only checking the forums after getting banned  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

My console hasn't been banned yet either. I've survived the last year's ban wave as well. Hope it continues this way. However, my buddies 2 consoles got banned yesterday. Yesterday was also the first time I got on LIVE with my new gamertag since my last one was banned for playing Forza 3 early.

Always played  pre-released games on my old account while connected to XBL up until Forza 3. Never used ABGX. Played probably about 10 on XBL itself. Don't remember last time my xbox had a retail game in it.

i got a buddy not banned, said his box has been flashed about a year... not sure of drive or anytihng, but he said he isnt updated to 1.61 yet. and he plays online....

Side note:
I Dont have a Gold account. Did but let it run out months ago.

I haven't put this 360 on live in months until yesterday.

Yesterday tested the "Live Connection Test" after updating (1st time) - Signed in via GT with no problem.

Today I did the "Live Test" and its asking for another update. I denied it got the status report...still at "Z: 8015 - 1002" I assume still unbanned. Not doing anything more until more info is released from c4eva

Comments about your history: I only play backups, never never originals, even on live.  Got this as a replacement for RROD elite, modded it on first boot,powered by the xbox during mod.  A bunch of games installed on the hdd, from backups.  I play on live all the time.  I never play games early, as I got banned last time because of fallout and GoW2.  I have never used abgx
Belief on banning:  Either the data that the firmware simulates is being reported back too fast, or some gypsy curse

Country: Northern Ireland


Core Launch version console bought new first week of 360 Launch. Replaced dying hitachi drive 3 weeks ago with new Benq, spoofed and flashed with latest Ixtreme using JF. Used 360 powersupply during flash and console was connected several times with no sata connected to 360. Played forza, odst, flashpoint, ghostbusters, nfss..all downloaded and verified using abgx.  

My own suspision is the last 360 update contained something to detect non original games. I dont think they can detect the firmware persionally, i reckon they are performing checks on the discs and flaging the info, 3 strikes and you are out kind of thing. Who knows.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but you now have a "report console tampering" option under "file complaint" on Live friend (or enemy) list. I didn't notice this before. I think at least a certain percentage of bans in this wave has something to do with that option. So, since I'm in an ultra paranoid mode right now, let me just say this:

Banned: no
DVD Drive version: Lite-On (iXtreme 1.6)
Used Activate.iso?: No
Played Wave 4: No
Wave of the last game played: 3
Played an early release: No
Received Achievement on Early Release: No
Always verfied Games: Yes, both pre and post burning.
Bitsetting: always DVD-ROM
Layerbreak: always set to proper value

Basically, I took every possible precaution that was suggested on this forum and elsewhere. It seems to have worked so far.

Never played a release before retail date in my country.
30+ backups
Always verify with abgx, if any yellow, use autofix level 3. Wait for fully verified rips in the database always.
Burn to verbatim 4x Using correct layerbreak .dvd file on imgburn
Have played wave 4 using activate iso (gta episodes), have played forza 3 (pal)..have not played borderlands.
Have never left a backup in the drive, out immediately as I go back to dashboard.
No games installed to hard drive other then forza disc 2
Did power on with xbox power for flash.


Could still happen to me.  Been lucky I guess.

I also believe this is a disc issue, how many of those banned have been using bad media? bad layerbreak? bad burns? do any of the people banned verify with imgburn? How many of these banned people got their 'friends' to back up a game for them?

Comments about your history: Check with the test connection method no ban. Xbox.com says service not available  with the 55420 error. After that I readded the original firmware and connected to live with Crackdown in tray. Stayed on dashboard for 15 mins, added Crackdown asked for patch, declined, another 10 mins on dashboard and turned off 360. Will not play  360 offline and online until there's new word from C4ever. For the first 3 or 4 games I fully checked abgx with level 3.After that I kept level 3 but didn't not check the dvd crc thing.
Belief on banning: Firmware detection.
