Everyone should stop worrying about an Account ban. At least your counsel isn't banned. Plus your the ones who couldn't wait anyway. You deserve it.

me and a mate played borderlands system link from 2000 till 0700 so far no account bar, they have always said they will not punish players for playing early only shops

also i have seen no one on here say "i played borderlands and got barred" all the barred people are fornza people (so far)

there needs to be a topic or poll created (in my opinion) asking if they had achievments in fornza, if they signed up for the beta and what firmware they used to play it ..we may well see a pattern

I'm not getting what you're saying. This is WORSE than a console ban. You lose your saves, downloads, gamerscore, etc. with this ban.

I agree.

Have your console banned from Live (still usable offline).

Lose all your Achievements/Gamerscore, DLC, Friends List, Download History, Themes, Gamerpics, Avatar Items, Gold Membership & Microsoft Points!

for those worried about gamesaves

first , renember if your profile is barred from live you still have access to it on the system and thus can play all the single player games no problem (yeah i know whopie do, but a valid point)

the second post in this topic has instructions to move save files to another profile though its an old topic
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=479391

second post here useful to
http://www.xbox360forum.com/forum/game-tip...er-profile.html

and when i was doing system maintence a while back i moved saves from the memory card to my hd and it said something along the lines of i would be the new owner of the file (forget the exact termoledgy but i renember thinking "thats handy")

as yet im not barred so i cant really fully test it out but maybe some one who is can give it a try (for godssakes though use a safe game! lol) just try copying a save file from your old profile when signed into a new one load the game and see if it lets you load the save file, seems to work on paper atleast)

**edit **
to all those saying its there fault, they got what they deserved, or why dont they do this or that. 1 have some empathy for gods sake 2 microsoft have always said they would not ban people based on when they played a game as retailers are at fault and 2 if your not gonna add something construct why not err bugger off?

It's true for Borderlands but I think FIFA is OK. I've been playing that to death since last Friday.

Honestly, who in their right minds wants to play games early. Its so retarded. You will get caught FFS. I think they deserve everything they get for playing games early. Modding a console comes with a risk but playing games early, thats asking for trouble and a deserved penalty. Theres no evidence that taking out your ethernet, removing HDD etc. works so don't bother doing it. You get banned, your own fault.

I had actually JUST placed Borderlands in the drive and closed it.  Then a friend told me about the B&'s and I decided against playing it.  It verified all right with agbx, it just couldn't verify the .xex combination.  I suppose I'll wait until the 20th.

THERE GOES ONE OF MY PRECIOUS VERBATIM'S =/

I agree that they may have deserved it but it can be far worse than a console ban if they have a few hundred $ worth of downloaded content they bought from Live.

Don't get me wrong I am in no way blaming MS because I know the chances of playing games prerelease but I am a little pissed that I have SO MUCH CONTENT that is now rendered useless...DLC...Arcade Games...Avatar clothes/accessories...etc...FYI I made a new profile and the premium themes that were purchased still work...At least 1 thing lol

SO PLEASE IF YOU WERE BANNED ANSWER THESE ? SO WE CAN GET TO THE ROOT OF IT...

1. Do you have achievements in the game
2. Did you sign up for the xbox live new dashboard preview

Thanks to all for contributing

not that im condoning this but,  buy a new 360 and swap the shells and return it.
id recommend doing this at walmart cause i know here in canada    walmart cant(or doesnt) resell the boxes they go right back to the manufacturer.
my hope is eventually if there were a big influx of banned returns from the largest retail outlet M$ would rethink this banning "pirates/backupers" nonsense
the cool thing is
all the stickers are on one side and thanks to the screw-less design it doesnt look like tampering
then do a content licence transfer issue resolved. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Hi,

I've got two xboxes, one modded and one not. I normally switch the hdd between the two so I can play on live. I don't use any burned games on live only originals. I played forza 3 and got some achievements but these are on the hdd. I haven't connected to live yet so the achievements aren't on my live profile atm.

I'm worried about ms clocking the achievements were on there before release date (even thought I've got it on pre order) so I figure to fix the situation I can buy a new hdd and import my profile from live. I can then take over any saves via a memory card. This way I lose the forza achievements but save all my dlc.

Can anyone see any problem with that?

Cheers
