I have a gamertag on my xbox that I last used a year ago. When I tried to sign in, it gave me the message "Your Windows Live ID isn't valid..." and I am prompt to change the WLID. I then associate a new email and stuff, but then the message pops up saying "Parent: To allow your child to sign in, enter your WLID password. The problem is I must have been under 18 when I made the account and just made up a fake email and password, so I have no idea what the password would be.
I gave it a search on google and some people with a similar problem said they called 1-8004myxbox and said that either the support guy was able to reset on his end or do some hard data edit or some shit to fix it. After about an hour on the phone with xbox, I get to a guy who tells me "we don't support forgotten passwords" and tells me they can't do shit and to make a new gamertag.
I really like this gamertag and want to keep it. Has anyone else ran into this problem, or know a way to fix this, maybe even something to say on the phone? Thanks in advance.
