Mate just play COD on the PC, its exactly how we want it to be  love.gif

And buying video cards to play PC games is like buying a new xbox 360 arcade 3 times a year.

Am I the only person who just puts in the game and plays? What's all the other nonsense for anyway? Ads, avatars, (biased) news, who needs all that junk?? The only 'upgrade' that they've ever had was the ability to copy games to the HDD.

ITS A GAMING CONSOLE.

Well, i for one like using every feature of my games console.

So after playing a lot of gears, i just wanna chill on the dashboard & check out the marketplace + latest videos.

There are so many things to do on the 360 aside  from playing games, maybe you should check em out.
If not, then don't bash something others use, as you do not speak for the entire community.

Why do people keep saying this?

MKV's are primarily used for HD DVD/Blu-ray rips - so it would go directly against their movie rental service.
So why would Microsoft want to add this feature to the XBOX 360?

If you want to play downloaded movies on the 360, invest in a good CPU & convert it to WMV-HD (probably take ages).
I just use my PC/PS3 for movies.

Takes a whole hour or so.

The last ban wave came about 1 week before NXE was released If I remember correctly. I wonder if we'll see the same again this time around. Whether Microsoft have any new detection methods is another matter but I still expect to see some token bans taking place for people previously flagged.

I hope this update fixes the freezing issues I have in one of my 360's (sometimes suffers from E71).  I hope this update wipes everything out and overwrite everything in the internal flash (had an unsuccessful update)
if this update doesn't help, that piece of krud of a 360 is going to straight out da window!!!!

It won't. Your hardware needs repair.

Ummm, no.  An HD4890 is well under $200 and my $130 HD4870 runs Crysis with 2xAA and Gamer settings at 1680x1050.  PC games look leaps and bounds better than 360 games, especially with the recent trend of sub-720p resolutions (CoD @ 1024x600, Halo 3 @ 1024x640).  Xbox 360 games also appear incapable of supporting anisotropic filtering which is near-free in terms of performance on PCs.

Not to mention the fact that pretty much every Xbox 360 game is locked at a crappy 30FPS.  PC gamers are used to 60+ FPS.  Let me know when the 360 can do this:
