Microsoft's Xbox Originals service, which launched in December 2007, has now officially become Games On Demand.

Microsoft said at E3 earlier this month that one more title - widely tipped to be Halo 2 - would be released for the Xbox Originals service ahead the August rollout of Xbox 360 games for download.

The download service will also support credit card transactions, meaning Microsoft points won't be required to purchase titles.

Does anyone actually care about games on demand?  I assume the purchased game will be connected to your live account.  I have 1 xbox with 2 live accounts (yes, I can't get my girlfriend to just play on my account), so will the purchaser have to be logged in to play the xbox game?  It sounds like there are more limitations with 'on demand' games than 'in my hand games'.  It's not so bad if you only have 1 xbox, 1 live account, don't plan on playing it at a friend's house on their account, and don't plan on selling your used game when you're done with it.  Other than that case, I would not go for it ATM... especially if on demand games are offered for the same price.

Should be like arcade games. 1 box, 2 accounts both can play the games without the other person being signed on. Also the ability to use a credit/debit card might be a sign of MS finally ditching the points system. Also the on-demand isnt a bad idea. I`ve wanted a few games when im bored and just couldnt be botherd trecking into town to buy them so maybe there is a market for it.

This is good for those who cannot track down old games. As for the 360 side..... I believe it comes in handy when you cannot be bothered to go to the store and get a game or if a store is far away. Still, Having a physical copy is MUCH better in my opinion.
