Random, Constant Disconnects From Live

So here's my situation, I just got a new 360 (arcade). I purchased a one month subscription from xbox Live. I can go on live, but it doesn't last long. The longest it has lasted was about 15 minutes. To give you an idea of how quickly I am getting disconnected I'll go into play a score dual in Rock band 2, It'll find a match, I'll start playing and get through maybe 3/4 of the song before I get disconnected. I then have to resign in.

Could anyone help with this problem? Do you need any additonal information?

Did this problem start after applying the newest NXE Dashboard update? I know that I'm having the exact same problems as you after applying this update. Not one single game will stay connected to xbox live. It just seems MS has put out a shotty update. Aren't they good? Thanks!  mad.gif

It happens to me too.. It didnt happen right after the update, but it started doing it recently.. Can't really play more than 1 match of CoD at a time w/o having to reconnect..

it could be the NXE UPDATE IMPROPERLY INSTALLED.. this what happens to mine CLICK ME. in your case as an arcade you could uninstall the latest update by navigating on its internal memory unit and updating once again. if you got a hard drive all you could do is to reformat your HDD and make sure you backup your important data before doing it and updating to nxe once more.

This happened to me so i removed my cache and then it worked.

To do this you go to the "My Xbox" and then select "System settings".
Then select Memory.Press Y on the HD symbol and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X.

Once you do this a messsage will appear saying: "Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?" Just press YES.

Note: this will also remove any game updates you have installed, so next time you load up the game you will have to re-apply the updates.
