if i signed up for live with my account on a console i already had

can i use my account to play on the new xbox im purchasing and play?
or is it locked to the console?

this is assuming i take my harddrive off and put it on my new xbox.



or if say one of my consoles gets banned, can i take my HD off and put it on the other unbanned console and continue to play live unbanned?



All through one account with live.

so if the account moves after being banned, the new console won't be banned as long as it is 100% legit?
as in no backups, flashing, nothing.
