Recently my xbox has started to show a black screen for about 3 seconds while is loads xbmc, my dashboard. I recall reading a post saying this may be caused by my network settings, and I have experimented with the settings to no avail. Has anyone had this problem personally and corrected it succesfully? <

XBMC has a new feature called the splash screen....you see a black screen because there is no splash.png in your /media directory so there is nothing to show but a black screen with a 3 sec delay

Is there a way to disable this new feature? I saw no mention of it in the .xml file. <

Its caching files dude. Either way your gonna have to look at something for 3 seconds. Put a pair of tits up there. Wouldnt be as bad for those 3 seconds. <
