Within the past few weeks, my xbox live networking has been having some issues. Recently on gears of war 2, I've been continually notified that I have a strict NAT (also notified this through the XBL connection test). I often cannot play with certain members and have trouble finding matches on my own host. On the rare occasion that I'm able host a match, it's absurdly laggy. I've been an Xbox Live member for a few years, so I've seen many of these problems before, but this is new.
My computer's network and 360's network both have static IPs. I've tried port forwarding, inputting the 360's IP into the router's DMZ, UPnP (adjustments that have worked in the past), and every combination of the three. I've tried these "solutions" on both Belkin and DLink routers. I have Window's Firewall disabled, and have no other network security program that would cause this.
I have successfully hosted/played xbox live matches on a variety of different games (including gears of war two) without problem (on both routers), so I know my network is capable of this. My main computer's internet connection has been unchanged throughout this issue. No new computer/device is connecting through the router's WiFi at this time. However, the problem seemed to start when two extra laptops were using the Belkin router's wireless connection for a few days (this was two weeks ago). The laptops have not connected to the WiFi since, and the DLink router was not used while they were connected, leading me to believe this was purely coincidental. The only other bit of information that might be worth noting is that I've recently "upgraded" to Windows Vista, but my XBL network was unharmed for the first few weeks after "upgrading."
Any help is much appreciated
