I only play real game online, are they banning systems where if you never played a backup online only originals?

I've yet to be banned, just checked about an hour ago. I played Fallout 3 a month early, and GOW2 only about 3 days ago.

Thats because MS records a bad disc months and months in advance.. they just dont act on it right away.

And guys... accounts are not banned it is ALWAYS just the console.  You buy a new system.. dont mod it and you will be fine. You dont lose anything.

Status:  Not banned (rofl!!!!)

Games played: every pre'd release (again rofl!)

360 date of purchase: August '08 (benq)

New dashboard installed?:  Nope

HDD?  Nope. Just a 256 meg memory card.

Ban wave is continuing, however, I will not be surprised if I do get banned.  I love how everyone on #fw is going apeshit btw (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

The nephew who hasn't played in months is probably lying. I'm gonna take a not-so-wild guess and venture to say this has something to do with Gears of War 2, specifically a scene release which has a bad SS.

Just got banned too, this ones got me wondering what we all missed.
Was it a mistake on my end or does M$ have a card up their sleeves.

Here's my error codes
w 0000-000b
x 0000-F001
y 00a8-6820
z 8015-190d

I guess I'm in the market for a new xbox...oh well.

I think most of these bannings probably stem from playing an improperly stealthed game online or playing a release real early online(same as before) and got banned.  I myself first installed NXE then after that flashed my box and wasn't able to sign on since I wasn't one of the early testers so I PLAYED gears 2 like a week early but wasn't able to sign onto live regardless because of the NXE issue.  I want to know if anyone who's been banned have NXE installed and got the message.  I'll wait till Nov 19 and try it out.

No NXE here, and I normally check all my games with mullet or schtrom stealth checker
I checked all the games I've played lately and all pass muster.
I'm still left scratching my head.
I'm very curious what the guru's have to say.

Is there anyone who got banned on a spoofed drive?

Just for the info as I didn't see anyone like that yet on several forums and IRC.

NXE here, non-preview as well. I played Gears 2 about 3 days before release and with network cable unplugged. Not banned yet though, the only backups I play online are ones ripped myself with my Kreon. Although, last week I did let a friend use his downloaded Far Cry 2 online on my 360. Still, no ban code in my network status yet.

My theory is that the majority of people that have modified 360's will be banned...don't think you're safe just because you weren't banned today or tomorrow...remember microsoft do it over a couple of weeks.. I think microsoft found a way to detect the firmware...it's only a matter of time now....it's a perfect time for microsoft to do it too ...right before the big holiday season and right before their new dashboard is about to hit...their biggest games just released too...fable 2, COD: WaW, and Gears of War 2...and the main features of those games are the multiplayer so they figured...good time to ban these people with modified xbox 360's so we can generate revenue by making them buy another system since I'm pretty sure a majority of people will because they want to play these games online...

I haven't connected to live yet this morning, should I then just leave my cable disconnected and wait a few weeks untill it's over?

Not banned yet. Haven't played any pre-release games at all.
Falcon, 203w PSU. BenQ iX 1.4 8x which replaced a broken Hitachi 79k.

I just called home so they could check if I was still up and running. So far so good.
Just bought a RRoD 360 to repair just incase something goes bad. wink.gif

Good for them...try not modding your drive and actually pay for stuff. it's amazing how much better things are when we just pay for games. Sheesh Backups?? BS!!! if you go on Live, then pay for your games, it's that simple.
