browse the settings. i think there is someplace to tell it not to try logging into live automatically. regardless, your profile is live enabled now, and there is nothing you can do to change that.

i don't get any error messages when i turn my system on (and xbl gold account set as the default profile) without the net connected. it just boots to my live profile and has the option on the dash to connect to the live servers.

You only get the error if you try to log in manually, if it's set to sign in automatically you don't get the error.
